Literature Tour

Have you ever been to New York City? I haven’t. It’s one of my grandest dreams. I would love to see the New York Public Library and visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  There’s so much art and history there. So many books and movies have been set there. I wouldn’t know where to begin. Today I came across a post by Katie Noah Gibson from Cakes, Tea and Dreams, about taking a children’s literature tour of New York. This is an idea that had never occurred to me before, but I think that it’s an interesting way to see a city. London offers a Da Vinci Code Tour, so why shouldn’t New York offer one for children’s literature? I know that I would enjoy it. Did you see the scone and muffin from Alice’s Tea Cup? Eating that muffin while reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and drinking a cup of darjeeling sounds like the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon in New York to me. Now I’ve just got to get up there…
